Special PVBs should be used that block the UV rays in case of unwanted, disruptive, damaging and colour fader effects of UV rays. Although the laminated glass filters the UV rays to a certain extend compared to flat glass, it can’t still protect enough. ALCAM, provides solutions that reduce UV ray damages to zero with TROSIFOL UV PROTECT product.

Alcam’s experience and expertise

In the lamination process, two or more glass plates with a bonding layer between them are joined together under high heat and pressure. The binder layers can be PVB or ionoplast (SGX) layers. In the Laminating Room, where special air conditioning, temperature and humidity are kept under constant control, PVB or SGP is placed between the glass plates and after preheating and joining, they are laminated in autoclave ovens under appropriate temperature and pressure according to the type and thickness of the glass and the nature of the interlayer.
